Pexorio

Privacy Policy

Effective and last updated: 12 September 2026

This policy explains how Pexorio collects, uses, protects, and deletes information when you use the Pexorio mobile application, website, and related services.

Who is responsible for your information

Pexorio is the product and service responsible for processing the information described here. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to parth@pexorio.com.

Information we collect

Account and profile information. We collect information needed to create and protect your account, such as your name or nickname, email address, username, Pexorio account identifier, linked Google or Apple identity identifier, and verification status. You may also provide academic profile information such as your institution, programme, semester or year, study preferences, and goals.

Academic and user-created content. This can include courses, course codes, uploaded materials and filenames, notes, annotations, To-Dos, deadlines, calendar events and venues, attendance records, Practice and Study Session records, answers, progress, feedback, and study-status information.

Ask Pexo content. We process the messages you send, assistant responses, conversation history, selected course or material context, and feedback you choose to provide so Ask Pexo can respond and preserve your conversations.

Files you choose to upload. Depending on the feature you use, these may include PDFs and other documents, images, audio or lecture recordings, and videos. Pexorio uses the system file picker and does not require broad access to your device storage.

Calendar and social information. If you use these features, we process calendar events and connected-calendar metadata, Pexorio friend connections and requests, usernames you search for, and the study status or activity you choose to share. Pexorio does not read your phone address book.

Device, security, and usage information. We process an app installation identifier, platform, app version and build number, session and authentication metadata, notification preference and push token when notifications are enabled, IP address and security/rate-limit information, feature usage, request timing, and operational events. We do not use an advertising ID and do not collect precise or approximate device location.

How we use information

We use this information to authenticate users, link verified identities safely, maintain accounts and sessions, provide course and planning features, process materials, answer Ask Pexo questions, preserve chat history, show Practice and Study history, manage attendance, To-Dos and calendar events, support Friends features, and deliver academic reminders that users enable.

We also use limited account, security, and usage information to prevent abuse, enforce plan limits, troubleshoot reliability, measure feature usage, improve Pexorio, communicate service or account information, and comply with applicable law.

AI and academic-content processing

Ask Pexo and related study features send the user request and the relevant, bounded academic context to AI inference and document-processing service providers so they can generate the requested response. A selected course or material may be used as primary context, together with relevant planning information such as deadlines or To-Dos.

We do not sell private academic content, chat content, or profile information, and we do not use them for advertising. Service providers may process this information only to provide their contracted service to Pexorio, subject to their applicable data-processing terms.

When information is disclosed

We use service providers for cloud hosting and databases, private file storage, AI inference and document processing, email delivery, authentication, notifications, monitoring and operational support. They receive only the information needed to provide those services on Pexorio's behalf.

If you connect or deliberately use an external integration, such as Google Calendar or Google or Apple sign-in, information is exchanged with that provider as needed for the action you requested. Payments made on the Pexorio website are handled by the applicable payment provider; the mobile app does not collect payment-card details.

We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users and the service, or as part of a corporate transaction with appropriate notice and safeguards. Pexorio does not sell personal or sensitive user data.

Security

Pexorio uses HTTPS encryption in transit, access controls, private storage, restricted service credentials, hashed authentication secrets, expiring sessions, and other administrative and technical safeguards. No online system can guarantee absolute security, so please protect access to your email and device and contact us if you suspect unauthorised account access.

Retention and deletion

We retain account and academic information while your account is active and as needed to provide the features you use. Short-lived verification codes and authentication intents expire automatically. Operational and security records are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for reliability, abuse prevention, legal obligations, and dispute resolution. De-identified measurements that can no longer be connected to an account may remain.

You can permanently delete your account from mobile Settings or the website. When deletion completes, the account and associated private academic content are removed, subject only to limited information that must be retained for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or enforcement. Read the complete steps on the account deletion page.

Your choices

You can choose whether to upload materials, create academic records, connect a calendar, use Friends, share study status, or enable notifications. Notification permission and academic-reminder settings can be changed in the app or device settings. You may disconnect supported integrations, correct supported profile information, or contact us about access, correction, export, restriction, or deletion requests.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when Pexorio's features, providers, or legal obligations change. We will update the date above and provide additional notice when a change materially affects how personal information is handled.
